How to open a file with ”img” suffix in Linux?

You need to change the img suffix to iso and mount the iso in a directory and view the file.
To do this, run:

sudo cp forensics.img forensics.iso

Also, you can use the mv command.

Then, to mount the iso file, type:

sudo mkdir /media/iso

sudo mount -o loop filename.iso /media/iso
